Why do I annotate photos?
I make it a rule to indicate settings with which the photo was taken including the lens and the camera used. You may feel annoyed with them, saying "you should just exhibit your photos without those, because the very purpose of this page is to show them...." OK. What you say may be what it should be, and I do not deny the possibility that such information prevents you from appreciating photos as they are. I dare to do it, however. One reason is that I really love my cameras and lenses (I confess, I can spend a whole day just looking at my cameras and lenses). I have heard that engineers of Carl Zeiss call lenses they made "my dear boy" or "my little girl" with full love as if they were their real sons or daughters. In the same manner, I would like to show you "this boy did such an excellent job" by annotating photos. It is quite like acknowledgements in research papers, isn't it? Another reason is, maybe too much to say this, an educational consideration; some of you may wonder how these photos were taken. I would be great if those annotations help when you are inclined to ask "how did you take it?"
